On Friday, September 13rd 2024, SD Negeri 001 South Sangatta held an event to commemorate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. On this special day of Mawlid al-Nabi includes egg decorating competitions, recitations, prayer performances by teachers, and Saman dance performances by students.
In this long event brings students, teachers,staff and parents of the students blend of creativity, spirituality and cultural expression. Meanwhile the egg decorating competition showcased students’ parent artistic skills, and the recitation session provided an opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding of Islam.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, teachers offered sholawat, Islamic praise for the Prophet, while students wowed the audience with traditional Saman dances from Aceh.
Mr. Syamsudin MS, S.Pd, Principal of SDN 001 South Sangatta , congratulated the audience, and emphasized the important meaning of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. He stated, “Happy Mawlid al-Nabi! May Allah’s blessings be with you on this day and always. Remembering the teachings of the Prophet brings us closer to be better.”
In a separate interview, Ms. Alifka, as 3rd grade teacher whose class won 3rd place on egg decorating competition, She expressed her happiness over the birth prophet Muhammad event as her first time to be a part of it .
